Energy Action, with the support of Area Development Management (ADM) and Sustainable Energy Ireland (SEI) are involved in the promotion of Rural Energy Projects outside the city of Dublin and are currently supporting rural based projects around the country.
A number of presentations were made by Energy Action in various venues around the country, to which representatives of Local Community Groups, Area Partnerships, Local Authorities, FAS Managers and Financial Institutions were invited. Energy Action demonstrated that local community groups, using its Dublin based operation as a module, could provide:
Environmental Protection, Training for long-term unemployed people, Care for the elderly and fuel poor, Energy Awareness education for both young and old. All of the rural projects noted below have established a domestic Energy Conservation Project.
